Day 1: discover Sal Rei and Praia do Estoril

Start gently with Sal Rei, the capital of Boa Vista.

It is the best way to get your bearings and discover a more everyday side of the island. Official tourism describes Sal Rei as a peaceful town whose life remains closely linked to the port, fishing and the history of salt trading.

Stroll through the center, observe the old facades, discover the small streets and take time to stop at a local shop or restaurant.

Then head towards Praia do Estoril, easily accessible from Sal Rei.

The bay is more protected than some coasts open to the Atlantic, and local tourist resources present Sal Rei Bay as one of the areas best suited for swimming, while pointing out that ocean conditions must always be checked.

This first day allows you to start your holiday without long trips.

Day 2: Santa Mónica, Varandinha and southern Boa Vista

The second day can be dedicated to the south of Boa Vista.
